Each Learn to Earn workshop hosts guided sessions, led by professional experts in the field, on financial literacy for female high school students across the country.

Sign up to join weekly speaker sessions held on approximately a weekly basis, via Zoom. It is entirely free for participants.

By signing up, you will join a community of young women from across the country and have exposure to some of the top financial leaders teaching on the topics below.

Topics Include

  • 1. Building Wealth: How to Manage my Income and Savings

    This workshop prepares students to set personal spending and savings goals, manage a budget, differentiate between essential spending vs. excessive spending, and more. This is the backbone for any individual to start mapping their finances.

  • 2. Money Minded: Intro to the Stock Market

    This workshop teaches students the basics of the stock market, such as the difference between NASDAQ and DOW. Students will learn the meaning of stocks and bonds, as well as how companies showcase profits, both on their income statements and resulting in stock gains. Students will begin to learn how to strategically choose stocks to invest in.

  • 3. The Industry: How the Finance World goes around

    Students dive into the realm of careers in finance, and getting investment from finance institutions. Students will feel comfortable in answering the question of “What is a VC?” and explaining the basics of how it works. Furthermore, this module will cover equity research and accounting. Whether a student is interested in tech start-ups, corporate, or careers in finance, this will be an incredibly informative session.

  • 4. The Industry: Careers in Investment Banking

    In the second part of the theme “The Industry,” this session focuses on investment banking and the early jobs after college in the finance world. Led by a professional in the investment banking analyst team, students will understand the meaning of a capital market as well as the process of how companies invest in smaller enterprises with successful futures.

  • 5. Smart Money: Preparing for credit, loans, and non-paycheck wealth

    In this session, students will focus on how to create a positive credit footprint and prepare for the big transition from high school to college. Students will understand how to take out loans (college, mortgage, etc), understand interest rates, and how savings map against that. Students will learn different ways they might accumulate debt, and how that affects their opportunities and credit.

  • 6. Social Impact: ESG and Finance

    This module prepares students for making socially responsible and ethical decisions in future purchases and investments. Students will understand the steps that companies take in striving towards positive social output and justice initiatives. ESG principles allow companies and investors to assess the risk factors involved in making certain decisions that will either harm or hurt manufacturers, customers, employees and other involved. We hope by the end of this workshop, students will learn to earn their wealth, while also encouraging good.
